Once my heart stopped pounding from the initial excitement I began to look at the prices of those longboards. My jaw dropped in a cartoonish way and my wallet literally started crying like newborn. Although buying that longboard was one of the best investments I have ever made it really broke my wallet. I’m a broke college student living paycheck to paycheck, so buying that longboard for $190 dug deep into my small budget. After I left the skate shop, with my brand new longboard, I thought to myself, would I have saved money by purchasing my longboard online instead of at the skate shop? Like most products sold today, cheap longboards and discount longboards are sold on the web. I would have saved at least $40-$50 buying my longboard online. I’m here to say that skate shops prices are too high and most of the skate shops that I have been to do not have a large selection of longboards to choose from. From now on I’m only buying my longboards online.
