Over the last past 10 years lacrosse has been the fastest growing sport at the highschool level, with an estimated 228,000 players. Lacrosse has also been the fastest growing sport at the collegiate level over the past six years with 557 college teams in 2009. That is not counting all of the club teams that have sprouted up all over the country.
