When you travel for holiday or business trips, do your loved ones know the location of your legal WILL? Even today, as you commute to and from work, do they know where to find your last WILL and testament? We understand that writing a WILL is fundamental to sound financial planning and estate planning, and we congratulate you if you've already written your own WILL. Your family members probably thank you as well. Solicitors worldwide will tell you that many people spend a considerable amount of time thinking about their beneficiaries and agonizing over how to allocate their assets after their death when writing a WILL. Unfortunately, these efforts often go wasted as many legal WILLs, whether DIY WILLs or with the help of a WILL solicitor, are not executed because they cannot be found. This is a time when legal WILL is deemed useless because it cannot be found. Too often people procrastinate or simply forget to inform their loved ones that they have a last WILL and testament, much less where their latest WILL is located. Sometimes, even those who have communicated the whereabouts of their legal WILL find that their loved ones may have forgotten where it is kept (as years pass). With time and sometimes the stress of loss can cause loved ones to forget - their memory may fail them when the emotional stress, anxiety and grief overwhelm them after losing a loved one. Your WILL's location may even have changed over the years because you lived abroad or moved to other state and forgot to update your loved ones about the latest whereabouts of this critical document. What happens when you pass-on? What happens next defeats the purpose of having created a last WILL in the first place. To resolve your estate, the government will decide how your assets are distributed. The result is unlikely to be desirable for your loved ones, and may cause unnecessary stress, unhappiness and ill feelings among family members and/or beneficiaries. It is even worse if your WILL finally does app
